Course Info
Purpose
This course will give you the opportunity to use lifejackets, immersion suits and liferafts at sea. Learn how to launch and deploy a liferaft. Train yourself on swimming while wearing immersion suits and learn survival techniques. Practical experience will be gained through realistic emergency scenarios. Build your confidence through competence by practicing in real conditions.
Structure
The course is conducted as theoretical and mostly practical training at VIKING Safety Academy. Wet exercises taking place at sea in a controlled and safe environment.
Content
• Use and donning of Immersion suits and Lifejackets • Liferaft launching and immediate actions • Boarding a Liferaft from vessel & water • Righting an inverted Liferaft • Use of loose equipment • Casualty recovery • Wet exercises on self - rescue • Survival techniques as a team

The course is designed for Seafarers designated as Lifeboat Operators, Engineers, Marine and Technical Personnel.
