Purpose

This course is designed to get you familiar with Rescue Boat davit systems on board your vessel and to increase your overall understanding of it. The aim of this course is to guide you through all the necessary checks and procedures you need to follow in order to complete a drill in the safest and most efficient way.

Content

Upon completion of the course, the participant will be familiar with the Launching appliance of the Rescue Boat System in order to be able to tell between safe and unsafe procedures during drills, which procedures and actions may involve unnecessary risk and what is his role prior, during and after a successful rescue boat drill or even during emergencies.

Target group

All crew members with onboard duties as Davit operator of Rescue boats.
