Course Info
Purpose
This blended, STCW course, is designed to fulfil the requirements of STCW table A-VI/2-1, providing knowledge to the participant on how to operate and take command of a survival craft in a safe manner. This course aims to prepare you first, through the online theoretical lessons at your own pace to complete the practical part successfully.
Structure
The course is conducted both as e-learning and practical hands-on training. In order to participate in the practical session, you need to complete the online theoretical session first at your own pace.
Content
Upon completing the course, participants should be able to operate and take command of a MOB boat, a liferaft and a conventional lifeboat in a safe manner. At the course end, participants should demonstrate competency as described in the STCW Code table A-VI/2-1 and take command of a Rescue Craft, including MOB boats.
Target group
Coxswains or other personnel with tasks in lifeboats, liferafts and MOB boats.

Prerequisites
To participate in the practical session, you need to have completed the online theoretical part and; - Be of at least 18 years of age - Have acquired 6 months of sea service - Be in possession of: a valid health certificate for seafarers and STCW Basic Safety Training A-VI/1

Revalidation
