Purpose

The aim of the course is to instruct and train the participant in how to activate and operate the VEDS system during an evacuation.

Structure

The course is delivered as e-learning. This training represents the theoretical part of the complete VIKING Evacuation Chute training for Designated Crew. For competence giving training you must sign up for the full program. Contact safetyacademy@viking-life.com to hear more.

Content

This course guides you through the main elements of the VEDS system. You will learn how to operate each part of the VEDS system, and how to guide and instruct evacuees. Every crew member will learn the run-through of the VEDS system as the tasks held by the crew members are thoroughly described. The colored cap on each instruction page shows which crew member is responsible for the task.

Designated crew members onboard passenger vessels using the VEDS evacuation systems.
